Telecom Italy: debt and privatization

These days people are talking about debt Telecom and action plans that provide for the dismissal of 3700 workers.

from La Repubblica: administrator CEO Franco Bernabe has been named by the government who wants insights into the business plan in view to the 3700 letters of dismissal for workers, prime cuts of jobs that should be completed in June 2011.

For those wishing to refresh their memory about how a monopolist can go bankrupt, I suggest some interesting reading on the monsters of capitalism and privitazzazioni ours, made of Scrooge McDuck without money and political favoritism.

We start from a theoretically non-partisan link, wikipedia:
http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telecom_Italia # La_privatizzazione

and arrive at a reconstruction "Historical" filled with political commentary:
http://www.disinformazione.it/telecom_e_le_storie.htm

Oops, I forgot, the characters of these stories are still leading figures of the political-economic sphere (de Benedetti, d 'Alema, Prodi, Colaninno, benetton, logs-provera) ...

Good reading.
